Project Life by Stampin' Up retiring

Just a quick post to let you know - you may have seen it from Becky Higgins.  The contract between Project Life and Stampin Up is expiring at the end of May and will not be renewed.  Do not panic, there will be something to take its place in the new catalog.  What this means for you right now is that some of the Project Life items in the catalog are on sale.  As of 6:00 this morning, the only Project Life item sold out is the corner punch.  See the full list of retiring items and their prices HERE  Project Life products start on page 163 of the annual catalog. That will help you find them in this list.

If you're not familiar with Project Life, it is a memory keeping or photo organization system using pocket pages.  Here are a few images from the annual catalog:

This striped album is on sale for $19.20, normally $24.00

All Year Long card collection - on sale for $12.80

Good Vibes card collection - on sale for $12.80

These are just a couple examples of the sets available. See the Annual Catalog for the full list.

If you decide to stock up and order online - use hostess code SGR2ZTNE. If your order is at least $25, I'll send you 5 handmade cards.

I would like to start a memory keeping club. I know I need a scheduled time to get my photos organized and into an album everyone can enjoy. I'll start this in June when the new catalog is available.  Let me know if you are interested in getting your photos organized!  I'll send out more info when we get closer to June.

So in Love

The So in Love stamp set and the So Detailed Thinlits Dies are what I used for a class last night. Everyone got a Falling in Love Designer Series paper pack and a Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon.  All of these are retiring. Unfortunately the Falling in Love paper is already sold out. I love the delicateness of these dies.

This is what I made to put everyone's ribbon in. I
used the Falling Petals embossing folder which is
also retiring. I made the bag with the Sending Love
Glassine sheets (retiring) and the Mini Treat Bag
Thinlit Die.

This card I copied from Laura Borchert. I love the Blushing
Bride glimmer paper with the delicate die.  It is also
retiring.

This uses the White Gift box and the Lace Doilies.
I love these doilies because they are white on one side
and vanilla on the other. I also added a Falling in
Love embellishment for a little bling. All of these
items are retiring.

I thought I would share a little teaser of a brand new set from the new catalog that will be available to you in May.  That is 1 month early!  It is called Eastern Palace and it has an amazing set of dies that go with it.
I stamped the background in Dapper Denim on Dapper
Denim.  The strip of vanilla paper is one of the Designer
Series Papers that comes with this suite.  I copper
embossed the small images in the background. The thank
you is cut out with one of the dies.

Next time I'll share another example with this suite using one of the amazingly intricate dies.

Be sure to check out the retiring list link on the right.  There are some great deals!  If you are ordering online, use this hostess code - SGR2ZTNE.

Going, going, gone!

The new retiring list is here!  The new retiring list is here!

Stampin' Up released the list of retiring items today.  Check it out here

Some of the products are on sale so you don't want to wait too long to get those!

Also, the 2015-2017 In Colors are retiring. Don't miss out on any of the paper, inks or markers for these colors:

One of the sets that is retiring from the Occasions catalog is the Oh So Succulent set.  I just recently got this one and have been playing with it.  It's a fun set and the framelits are amazing!  Here are a few examples I made with it:
I used Mint Macaron (retiring) and Sweet Sugarplum on this card.

This card uses 2 retiring colors - Mint Macaron
and Tip Top Taupe. I love these 2 together. Plus
I added a little Calypso Coral.

This uses Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum, Calypo Coral
and Old Olive.

Isn't this big succulent fun?  I've seen so many
creative examples on Pinterest with these 3D dies.

One more thing to remember.  None of the bundles from the Occasions or Annual Catalog will carry over.   Even if both the stamp set and dies carry over, the bundle will not.  So if you want to save 10% get the bundles before they're gone.

Do you have a big list of retiring products you want?  Want to get some free?  I'm booking hostessed parties for April and May.  Invite some friends over and I'll do the rest.  We'll have a fun night of crafting!  Contact me today to book your party!

Chase Your Dreams

Did you notice the Chase Your Dreams stamp set in the Occasions catalog?  It caught my eye because I've had the good fortune to visit a couple of these places.  I had some fun this weekend creating a couple of cards with it:

I used Shimmery White for these because it
is perfect for watercoloring with aqua painters. The
colors are Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight
and Watermelon Wonder.
(I got this idea from Amy Koenders)

It was fun to pair the Chase your Dreams and
Beautiful You stamp sets. This coloring was
done with the Rich Razzleberry colored pencil
and a blender pen on Shimmery White card stock.
(This idea came from Holly Stene)

I also plan to use this set for some memory keeping.  It's great for travel photos!

Now that Sale-a-bration is done, it's time to stock up on the In Colors that will be going away. At the end of May, we have to say goodbye to these colors:
I think I will miss Mint Macaron & Tip Top Taupe the most.  Just a word of warning, the
re-inkers will go fast!   If you want them, we'll need to get them ordered this week! If you
want to order online - use this hostess code GFRWMYZW.    If you don't want to order
online, let me know by Thursday (4/6) and I will add it to my class order.
