Tropical Chic

This is my favorite new suite this week!   There are so many wonderful new products in the catalog - I have to change my favorite each week.  You can create all kinds of leafy fun with the dies from this set. Here are some of the projects I've made with the suite:
Some of these I made at my friend Kay's Bingo night. She also loves this suite!
I think the colors in the coordinating DSP are gorgeous - Blushing Bride,
Granny Apple Green (new!) and Shaded Spruce (also new!)
Did you notice one of these was a Christmas card?  Perfect for all your
friends that live in tropical locations.

String fun

We had fun playing with string in technique class Monday night.  This is an easy technique although a little messy.  It seems to work better with the lighter colors.  You can get different results depending on how you lay your string on the paper.  These are the cards we made:
This was made with Powder Pink.  I also used the new ruffled
ribbon and pearlized doily -  so fun!

I used Soft Sky for this one.  They look like
Calla lilies to me. I even used the inked up
string on the card - you do have to be sure it's
dry before adding it to your card!

Hand Delivered

I love new catalog time!  It's like Christmas for months!  I've had fun playing with my new sets.  I thought I'd highlight one of the hostess sets - Hand Delivered.  As a demonstrator I was able to purchase this one early.  This is such a fun set - you can make birthday cards, graduation cards, wedding cards, get well cards - so many possibilities.  Here are a few cards that I made or received in swaps.
I used the red and yellow Brusho on the left card to color
the balloons. The card base is a new In Color - Pineapple Punch and
was embossed using the Scattered Sequin embossing folder.
The right card has some of the gorgeous Share What You Love
Designer Series paper.  It is on another new In Color - Grapefruit
Grove with matching ribbon. I love how Stampin' Up products all match!

The left card I received in a swap. There's that Scattered Sequin embossing
folder again - this time used on a Lemon Lime Twist base
I used some Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper on the card on the right.
It is a beautiful collection of 6x6 papers that go with the Abstract Impressions
stamp set. I also used 1/2 of a new pearlized doily. I think any bride would enjoy
receiving a card like this!
