Project Life by Stampin' Up retiring

Just a quick post to let you know - you may have seen it from Becky Higgins.  The contract between Project Life and Stampin Up is expiring at the end of May and will not be renewed.  Do not panic, there will be something to take its place in the new catalog.  What this means for you right now is that some of the Project Life items in the catalog are on sale.  As of 6:00 this morning, the only Project Life item sold out is the corner punch.  See the full list of retiring items and their prices HERE  Project Life products start on page 163 of the annual catalog. That will help you find them in this list.

If you're not familiar with Project Life, it is a memory keeping or photo organization system using pocket pages.  Here are a few images from the annual catalog:

This striped album is on sale for $19.20, normally $24.00

All Year Long card collection - on sale for $12.80

Good Vibes card collection - on sale for $12.80

These are just a couple examples of the sets available. See the Annual Catalog for the full list.

If you decide to stock up and order online - use hostess code SGR2ZTNE. If your order is at least $25, I'll send you 5 handmade cards.

I would like to start a memory keeping club. I know I need a scheduled time to get my photos organized and into an album everyone can enjoy. I'll start this in June when the new catalog is available.  Let me know if you are interested in getting your photos organized!  I'll send out more info when we get closer to June.

So in Love

The So in Love stamp set and the So Detailed Thinlits Dies are what I used for a class last night. Everyone got a Falling in Love Designer Series paper pack and a Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon.  All of these are retiring. Unfortunately the Falling in Love paper is already sold out. I love the delicateness of these dies.

This is what I made to put everyone's ribbon in. I
used the Falling Petals embossing folder which is
also retiring. I made the bag with the Sending Love
Glassine sheets (retiring) and the Mini Treat Bag
Thinlit Die.

This card I copied from Laura Borchert. I love the Blushing
Bride glimmer paper with the delicate die.  It is also
retiring.

This uses the White Gift box and the Lace Doilies.
I love these doilies because they are white on one side
and vanilla on the other. I also added a Falling in
Love embellishment for a little bling. All of these
items are retiring.

I thought I would share a little teaser of a brand new set from the new catalog that will be available to you in May.  That is 1 month early!  It is called Eastern Palace and it has an amazing set of dies that go with it.
I stamped the background in Dapper Denim on Dapper
Denim.  The strip of vanilla paper is one of the Designer
Series Papers that comes with this suite.  I copper
embossed the small images in the background. The thank
you is cut out with one of the dies.

Next time I'll share another example with this suite using one of the amazingly intricate dies.

Be sure to check out the retiring list link on the right.  There are some great deals!  If you are ordering online, use this hostess code - SGR2ZTNE.

Going, going, gone!

The new retiring list is here!  The new retiring list is here!

Stampin' Up released the list of retiring items today.  Check it out here

Some of the products are on sale so you don't want to wait too long to get those!

Also, the 2015-2017 In Colors are retiring. Don't miss out on any of the paper, inks or markers for these colors:

One of the sets that is retiring from the Occasions catalog is the Oh So Succulent set.  I just recently got this one and have been playing with it.  It's a fun set and the framelits are amazing!  Here are a few examples I made with it:
I used Mint Macaron (retiring) and Sweet Sugarplum on this card.

This card uses 2 retiring colors - Mint Macaron
and Tip Top Taupe. I love these 2 together. Plus
I added a little Calypso Coral.

This uses Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum, Calypo Coral
and Old Olive.

Isn't this big succulent fun?  I've seen so many
creative examples on Pinterest with these 3D dies.

One more thing to remember.  None of the bundles from the Occasions or Annual Catalog will carry over.   Even if both the stamp set and dies carry over, the bundle will not.  So if you want to save 10% get the bundles before they're gone.

Do you have a big list of retiring products you want?  Want to get some free?  I'm booking hostessed parties for April and May.  Invite some friends over and I'll do the rest.  We'll have a fun night of crafting!  Contact me today to book your party!

Chase Your Dreams

Did you notice the Chase Your Dreams stamp set in the Occasions catalog?  It caught my eye because I've had the good fortune to visit a couple of these places.  I had some fun this weekend creating a couple of cards with it:

I used Shimmery White for these because it
is perfect for watercoloring with aqua painters. The
colors are Peekaboo Peach, Daffodil Delight
and Watermelon Wonder.
(I got this idea from Amy Koenders)

It was fun to pair the Chase your Dreams and
Beautiful You stamp sets. This coloring was
done with the Rich Razzleberry colored pencil
and a blender pen on Shimmery White card stock.
(This idea came from Holly Stene)

I also plan to use this set for some memory keeping.  It's great for travel photos!

Now that Sale-a-bration is done, it's time to stock up on the In Colors that will be going away. At the end of May, we have to say goodbye to these colors:
I think I will miss Mint Macaron & Tip Top Taupe the most.  Just a word of warning, the
re-inkers will go fast!   If you want them, we'll need to get them ordered this week! If you
want to order online - use this hostess code GFRWMYZW.    If you don't want to order
online, let me know by Thursday (4/6) and I will add it to my class order.

Sale-a-bration Finale

Stacy & I had our Sale-a-bration Finale class Monday night.  We tried something new - a card buffet.  All the cards used Sale-a-bration items.  Everyone got to pick which cards they wanted to create.  It was a fun night!  Here are the 8 cards they got to choose from:
Designer Tee stamp

Hey Chick stamps

Glimmer Paper - no longer available

So Very Much stamp + Inside the Lines Design Series Paper

Avant Garden + Delicate Details stamps

Carried Away Designer Series Paper + Any Occasion stamps

Make a Medallion stamps

Reverse Words stamp
I think we used everything but the Tasty Trucks stamps and the Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack. There are so many free items to choose from, it was hard to use them all!   There's only 1 week left for Sale-a-bration!  Don't wait, as you can see, some things are selling out.   AND Stampin' Up announced more items just this week!

Here are the additional products you can get free with a $50 purchase:

There's some great paper in this list!   Let me know right away if you want to take advantage of this once a year opportunity to earn free products.

Another part of Sale-a-bration is the extra goodies you get for joining my team.  The Starter Kit is always a great deal - you get $125 of product for $99 (shipping included).  But during Sale-a-bration this year you get to pick out 2 free stamp sets.  ANY stamp sets - even the $49 Letters for You set.  Another perk of joining Stampin' Up is you 20% off anything else you purchase.   Let me know if you would like to take advantage of this and join my team.  We get together once a month to stamp and have fun!

Reverse words

Just a quick post to show you a couple of cards I made this weekend with the new Reverse Words Sale-a-bration set.
I used Rose Red and Pink Pirouette on this card. The background is the
Watercolor Wash background stamp. The balloons are from the Balloon
Adventures set and punched out with the Balloon Bouquet punch. I also die
cut some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper with the Balloon Pop-up Thinlits.
And because I didn't want the other balloons to feel left out - I added Wink of Stella
to them. I used a mask to get the balloon strings to go 'behind' the hooray sentiment.

This is Peekaboo Peach and So Saffron. I used the Chase Your Dreams stamp
set - the cheers made me think of England. The scribbles are from the
Beautiful You stamp set. I added the fun Sale-a-bration ribbon in gold.

Just a couple of examples of what you can do with this new Sale-a-bration set.  Let me know if you would like to place an order and get your very own!

Make a Medallion

With the threat of severe thunderstorms in our area tonight, I decided it was a good idea to spend the evening crafting in my basement craft room.  I just received the Make a Medallion set yesterday.  It is one of the 3 new Sale-a-bration items available.  You'll notice some gorgeous glimmer paper on a couple of the cards.  This is also a new Sale-a-bration item. See the link on the right for more information on all 3 new items.

Here's what I created this evening.  All were copied from other talented stampers.
This medallion pairs Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry.
The base is Smoky Slate. Love this combination and Sweet
Sugarplum is my favorite new In Color. Did you see the fabulous
glimmer paper? Love it!! This was copied from Judy May.

Some more In Colors - Mint Macaron & Emerald Envy.
I just love how the 2 medallion stamps fit together. Endless
possibilities of colors! The medallions can easily be cut out
with the Layering Circles framelits. This one came from Karen Chin.

Another gorgeous color combination - Crumb Cake and
Bermuda Bay.  This card also has a fun fold. Half of the front is folded back
and only that folded half was embossed with the Lovely Lace folder.
This came from Kay Kalthoff.

This is my favorite. The black & white paper is from the Pop of Pink
Designer Series paper.  Sweet Sugarplum is the card base and there is a
small strip of the new glimmer paper. If you don't own the thinlits, you can
still make gorgeous cards. I got this card from Barb Stamps

Don't you just love this new stamp set?  It's only available for a few more weeks.  You can earn it absolutely free with a $50 order.  Contact me soon to get this fun set or the glimmer paper!

Stay tuned next week for some samples using the other new stamp set - Reverse Words.
