Are you ready?   The new catalog comes out in 2 days!  There are so many fun new products I can't wait to show you.   Did you hear that Stampin' Up has joined the planner craze?  That's one of the first things I plan to order.

Today I thought I'd share the brand new In Colors with you.  These will be available for the next 2 years.  I love how Stampin' Up gives us new, on trend colors each year.  These card were designed by my upline, Kay Cogbill and they are adorable!  The stamp set she used is the brand new Wood Words set.  It coordinates with the adorable Wood Crate framelit.
Fresh Fig

Berry Burst

Powder Pink

Lemon Lime Twist

Tranquil Tide

Don't you just love the names SU comes up with?  I think that would be a fun job!  I love all the new colors but right now my favorites are Fresh Fig & Berry Burst.  I've had fun making Tulip cards with those 2 colors.  I'll share some pictures of those next time.

I'm also anxiously awaiting a swap I participated in.  I'll be getting 20 cards using brand new product any day now.  I'll be sure to share them with you.

So which is your favorite In Color?   Come see them all in person and get your very own copy of the brand new catalog at my card class and catalog launch this Thursday!  Contact me for more info.

More birthday cards

Today I thought I'd share a few birthday cards made with retiring stamp sets. I don't know about you, but I always need more birthday cards!

These first 2 are with the Penned & Painted set. It is a very
versatile flower set. I will miss it!

This is with the hostess set Pun Intended. A fun
set that can be used for many different types
of cards.

The flowers on this card are from the Special
Reason stamp set from the Occasions catalog. The background
is from the Timeless Textures set which thankfully is not retiring!
The matching dies for the Special Reason set are sold out but the
stamp set is still available.

This is fun set is called Cake Crazy. It's from the Occasions catalog also.
There are so many creative ways to stack up
the layers! There are pieces that coordinate, like the polka dots
and background that fit together.

This is the Birthday Bright set. It is the set that goes with the Birthday
Bright kit. But it is great for making birthday cards without the kit.

These are just a few of the birthday cards I have on hand. Not much time left to get these fabulous stamp sets!  Remember to use hostess code SGR2ZTNE if you order online.  Order $25 or more and I'll send you 5 cards from my stash.

Carousel Birthday

This is the Carousel Birthday set from the Occasions catalog - one of my favorites:

Here are some of the cards I created with it:
I tried a new technique on this one. I put some drops of re-inker on a big block added
some water and then stamped it on the background.  This was on watercolor paper. Then
I heat embossed in white on top. Fun!  And it will turn out different every time.

This was a dutch door card that I found online. I think I've shared it
and how I made it previously. It was fun & very easy.

I made this one for a swap when the Occasions catalog first
came out. I created a collage background with the Carousel set and
the Playful Backgrounds set. The colors were Peekaboo Peach and
Soft Suede.

I decided to try some tone on tone color blocking
for this one. If I remember right, the colors on this one
are Peekaboo Peach, Soft Sky and Old Olive.

Some more white embossing and Playful Backgrounds.

I've had so much fun playing with it and will be sorry to see it go.

Project Life by Stampin' Up retiring

Just a quick post to let you know - you may have seen it from Becky Higgins.  The contract between Project Life and Stampin Up is expiring at the end of May and will not be renewed.  Do not panic, there will be something to take its place in the new catalog.  What this means for you right now is that some of the Project Life items in the catalog are on sale.  As of 6:00 this morning, the only Project Life item sold out is the corner punch.  See the full list of retiring items and their prices HERE  Project Life products start on page 163 of the annual catalog. That will help you find them in this list.

If you're not familiar with Project Life, it is a memory keeping or photo organization system using pocket pages.  Here are a few images from the annual catalog:

This striped album is on sale for $19.20, normally $24.00

All Year Long card collection - on sale for $12.80

Good Vibes card collection - on sale for $12.80

These are just a couple examples of the sets available. See the Annual Catalog for the full list.

If you decide to stock up and order online - use hostess code SGR2ZTNE. If your order is at least $25, I'll send you 5 handmade cards.

I would like to start a memory keeping club. I know I need a scheduled time to get my photos organized and into an album everyone can enjoy. I'll start this in June when the new catalog is available.  Let me know if you are interested in getting your photos organized!  I'll send out more info when we get closer to June.

So in Love

The So in Love stamp set and the So Detailed Thinlits Dies are what I used for a class last night. Everyone got a Falling in Love Designer Series paper pack and a Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon.  All of these are retiring. Unfortunately the Falling in Love paper is already sold out. I love the delicateness of these dies.

This is what I made to put everyone's ribbon in. I
used the Falling Petals embossing folder which is
also retiring. I made the bag with the Sending Love
Glassine sheets (retiring) and the Mini Treat Bag
Thinlit Die.

This card I copied from Laura Borchert. I love the Blushing
Bride glimmer paper with the delicate die.  It is also
retiring.

This uses the White Gift box and the Lace Doilies.
I love these doilies because they are white on one side
and vanilla on the other. I also added a Falling in
Love embellishment for a little bling. All of these
items are retiring.

I thought I would share a little teaser of a brand new set from the new catalog that will be available to you in May.  That is 1 month early!  It is called Eastern Palace and it has an amazing set of dies that go with it.
I stamped the background in Dapper Denim on Dapper
Denim.  The strip of vanilla paper is one of the Designer
Series Papers that comes with this suite.  I copper
embossed the small images in the background. The thank
you is cut out with one of the dies.

Next time I'll share another example with this suite using one of the amazingly intricate dies.

Be sure to check out the retiring list link on the right.  There are some great deals!  If you are ordering online, use this hostess code - SGR2ZTNE.

Going, going, gone!

The new retiring list is here!  The new retiring list is here!

Stampin' Up released the list of retiring items today.  Check it out here

Some of the products are on sale so you don't want to wait too long to get those!

Also, the 2015-2017 In Colors are retiring. Don't miss out on any of the paper, inks or markers for these colors:

One of the sets that is retiring from the Occasions catalog is the Oh So Succulent set.  I just recently got this one and have been playing with it.  It's a fun set and the framelits are amazing!  Here are a few examples I made with it:
I used Mint Macaron (retiring) and Sweet Sugarplum on this card.

This card uses 2 retiring colors - Mint Macaron
and Tip Top Taupe. I love these 2 together. Plus
I added a little Calypso Coral.

This uses Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum, Calypo Coral
and Old Olive.

Isn't this big succulent fun?  I've seen so many
creative examples on Pinterest with these 3D dies.

One more thing to remember.  None of the bundles from the Occasions or Annual Catalog will carry over.   Even if both the stamp set and dies carry over, the bundle will not.  So if you want to save 10% get the bundles before they're gone.

Do you have a big list of retiring products you want?  Want to get some free?  I'm booking hostessed parties for April and May.  Invite some friends over and I'll do the rest.  We'll have a fun night of crafting!  Contact me today to book your party!
